The two-time (2005-06) FSU Most Valuable Defensive Lineman racked up a squad-high 16.0 tackles for a loss of 74 yards, which included a conference-leading 10.5 pass sacks for minus 62 yards. His season's sacks total tied for the sixth-highest ever total among the Bulldogs' all-time single-season leaders.

The 6-2, 265-pound lineman finished ninth among this season's NCAA Division II statistical leaders in pass sacks (1.0 avg.), 30th in solo tackles (4.7 avg.), and 35th in tackles for loss (1.5 avg.).

In 23 career contests, Visser has compiled 184 tackles (95 solos) with three fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles, and three pass deflections. He also has 24 tackles for a loss of 103 yards. A 2006 D2Football.com All-America Honorable Mention selection, Visser is presently 16th on Ferris State's all-time pass sacks leaders list with 14.5 total for a negative 84 yards. He also received 2006 first-team All-Northwest Region accolades by Daktronics, Inc.

The national publication chose All-Region teams with the first-team and second-team All-Region players from each of the four geographic regions (Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest) comprising the national ballot, which was voted upon by a 25-member national panel. A total of 165 football student-athletes earned some form of Football Gazette All-America plaudits and players from 79 of the 150 football-playing schools in Division II received Football Gazette All-America recognition.

Ferris State posted an 8-3-0 overall record for the 2006 season, which included a third-place 7-3-0 mark in the GLIAC. The Bulldogs, who turned in their best season since 1996, were listed 17th nationally in the Football Gazette's final NCAA-II Top 40 rankings.
