A group of senior parents will auction off a large “turf” table during pregame tailgate activities in conjunction with Saturday's (Nov. 8) final Ferris State University football regular-season home contest against the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals at Top Taggart Field in Big Rapids, Mich.

The auction will take place in the Gridiron Club Parking area (Lot 35) on Saturday prior to the 12 p.m. (EST) Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) kickoff with proceeds going to support the club. Former Bulldog player Bill Scheible will handle the auctioneer duties. It is hoped that the tailgating table can be passed down to future Bulldog tailgaters.

The tailgating table was made by a group of current and former Bulldog football players, including Nick Beaudry, Ryan Kaul, Chris Machalak and current senior middle linebacker Kevin Noe. Remnants of old turf were used to cover the top and the field is green with maroon end zones. The players lined the field and printed the words "Ferris State" in the end zones. The top detaches from the table base and the unit has two carry handles with folding table legs.

All Bulldog fans are encouraged to visit the Gridiron Club lot prior to Saturday's contest to place a bid.

FSU will also honor its 17 seniors prior to the Senior Day kickoff.
