|Ferris State head coach Bob Daniels and the Bulldogs were selected ninth in the 2007-08 Preseason CCHA Coaches Poll and eighth in the media poll.
The Bulldogs were chosen to place ninth in the 2006-07 CCHA Coaches Preseason Poll with 55 points and were seventh in the media poll with 437 points.
"We were predicted about where I thought we would be," said FSU Head Coach Bob Daniels, who embarks on his 16th year directing the Bulldogs this upcoming 2007-08 campaign. "With that said, our goal for this upcoming season is to finish among the CCHA's top four and I believe we have a team which is capable of achieving that goal.
"We arguably have one of the top two defensive units in the league in regards to talent and depth. What's unproven at this point is scoring, but we have a lot of candidates who weren't in scoring roles last season due to the seniors on last year's team. We're hopeful the guys who return this season will step in to fill those scoring roles and will be given an opportunity to do so," added Daniels, who's Ferris State's all-time winningest coach and enters this season 11 victories of reaching the 250-career wins plateau.
The Bulldogs return 19 letterwinners from last season's squad which went 14-22-3 overall and placed ninth in the CCHA standings at 10-16-2 (22 points).
