Bulldogs' Feb. 28 Regular-Season Finale Tilt To Be Televised Nationally

Ferris State's regular-season finale at Michigan to be televised by CBS College Sports.

CBS College Sports will showcase the Ferris State University men's ice hockey on Saturday, Feb. 28, as the Bulldogs' 2008-09 regular-season finale contest versus the Michigan Wolverines will be aired to a national audience.

An 8:05 p.m. (EST) opening faceoff is scheduled for the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) weekend home-and-home series finale at UM's Yost Ice Arena in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The CCHA contest at Michigan will be available to viewers on many cable systems, Dish Network on channel 152, and DirecTV on channel 613.

Matt McConnell will call the action with Dave Starman serving as the color analyst.

CBS College Sports, formerly known as College Sports Television (CSTV), made its first appearance highlighting the Ferris State hockey team last season (Jan. 19) when the network aired the Bulldogs' league home matchup against Northern Michigan on Jan. 19 at FSU's Ewigleben Ice Arena in Big Rapids, Mich.

Ferris State, which is presently 12-13-7 overall with a seventh-place 9-10-5-2 CCHA record this season, opens a two-game league series against Alaska this weekend (Feb. 20-21) in Fairbanks, Alaska. The Bulldogs then wrap up the regular-season portion of their 2008-09 schedule next weekend, Feb. 27-28, with a home-and-home series versus Michigan. The Feb. 27 series opener between the two in-state schools represents FSU's final home regular-season appearance and the puck will drop at 7:05 p.m. (EST).
