The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) will be having its second annual CCHA Championship Fan Fest next weekend, March 20-21, 2009 at the Wintergarden of the Detroit (Mich.) Marriott Renaissance Center.

The event is sponsored by CCM, Perani's Hockey World, Reebok and Warrior.

The CCHA Fan Fest will include a shooting range, CCHA team lockers and uniform displays, a league trophy exhibit, conference map display, a CCHA merchandise area and the CCHA "History Walk" which will include a photo and information from a memorable Ferris State hockey contest and/or event.

The CCHA Fan Fest will be open on Friday, March 20 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (EDT) and will re-open for the CCHA Championship party at 10:30 p.m. (EDT). The CCHA Championship Party will feature live music from the band Bazooka Charlie. Fans will also have an opportunity to explore the Fan Fest during the CCHA Championship Party. The Fan Fest will reopen on Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (EDT). The Fan Fest and CCHA Championship Party are free and open to the public.

“It’s a fun night of entertainment. People get to come and see live entertainment and socialize with other hockey fans and enjoy the camaraderie of a sporting event outside of the arena. Hockey people love being around other hockey people and this is an opportunity for everyone to come and enjoy each other’s company and have some fun,” CCHA Commissioner Tom Anastos said.
