Tobiczyk will join former prep teammate, Amanda Kettlewell, as members of the Bulldog program. Kettlewell completed her initial season at FSU this past fall. Former FSU standout Brittny Godlewski, who concluded her collegiate eligibility while attaining all-region recognition in 2005, also played on the prep level at Marysville.

"We’re excited to add both Danielle and Lisa to our program,” said 11th-year FSU head coach Tia Brandel-Wilhelm. “Danielle has great fundamental skills and is dedicated to being the best player she can be. Lisa’s a winner who has experience playing at a high level.

"Both of them will be great additions to our program.”

Tobiczyk compiled 579 digs in 59 matches for Marysville as the Vikings posted a 58-1 overall record last season (2005-06). She also led MHS to its second state championship in the last three years in 2005-06 after the squad previously earned state runner-up laurels her sophomore season (2004-05).

A three-year varsity player, Tobiczyk had a breakout season as a junior last year and led the team in attack reception percentage (93%). She was an all-region, second team All-Macomb Area Conference and all-area second team pick in 2005-06. The Vikings have won both district and regional championships in each of her three previous seasons and held a three-year mark of 116-2 entering the 2006-07 campaign.

A team co-captain, Tobiczyk is a three-time all-academic team selection under head coach John Knuth. She has also participated in basketball, track and tennis as a prepster. In addition, she’s been active in the National Honor Society, school Steering Committee, student council and the marching/symphonic band.

The daughter of Daniel and Joyce Tobiczyk, Lisa plans to major in human resource management at Ferris State.

"As a libero for a perennial state championship team, Lisa is used to pressure and has the ability to elevate her game when a big play is needed,” Brandel-Wilhelm said. “We expect her to compete early in her career as both a libero and defensive specialist player at FSU.”

A two-time all-region honoree, Hamilton claimed All-Kalamazoo Valley Association accolades for the second-straight year as a junior in 2005-06 under head coach Trish Kohl. She has also played prep basketball at Galesburg-August and was a three-time all-league selection in addition to serving as team captain this past fall.

Hamilton, who played USA Volleyball for the Michigan Runbirds and head coach Ron Buck, also has been active in the school’s Diversity and Interact Clubs while in high school.

The daughter of Bill and Cathy Hamilton, Danielle is undecided on an academic major at FSU. She has an older brother and two older sisters along with a younger sister.

"Danielle will bring some important depth to our offense at all three of the front row positions,” said Brandel-Wilhelm. “She’ll be a welcome addition to the Bulldog program.”

The Ferris State women’s volleyball squad posted a 21-9 overall record and reached the NCAA-II Tournament for the 14th time in school history this past fall. FSU also posted its eighth 20-win campaign in the last nine years to date while reaching the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Postseason Tournament for the ninth consecutive year.”
