Variety Of Ways To Watch Bulldog Basketball For Free This Season

Bulldog hoops fans will have an opportunity to earn free admission to several upcoming Ferris State University men's and women's basketball contests thru a variety of special promotions announced recently by the FSU Athletics Department.

Free admission will be offered to this Saturday's (Dec. 13) Bulldog men's and women's basketball league contests against Hillsdale for anyone who holds a ticket to that evening's non-league hockey game against Alabama-Huntsville. The women's basketball game tips off at 1 p.m. (EST) inside Jim Wink Arena with the men's contest to follow at approximately 3 p.m. The hockey outing starts at 7:05 p.m. across the hall inside the Ewigleben Ice Arena.

Ticket Promotion Ferris fans can earn free admission to basketball games several ways, including by purchasing a FSU product at selected "Lids" hat locations

On Sunday (Dec. 14), the Bulldogs will hold a "Lions Special" for those who are tired of watching the NFL's Detroit Lions play this year and would rather watch college basketball action. All fans wearing a Detroit Lions hat or t-shirt will be given free admission to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) doubleheader versus the Findlay Oilers. The women's game is slated for a 2 p.m. (EST) start with the men hosting the nationally number one-ranked Oilers at 4 p.m. (EST).

Also, fans will be admitted free of charge for all of FSU’s remaining non-conference home games this season as part of "Fan Appreciation" contests during the holiday season. Those games include the Bulldog women's contest against Marygrove on Dec. 29 (6 p.m.) along with men’s non-league outings versus Grace Bible (Jan. 3) and Kuyper (Jan. 5). No admission will be charged for these games although all donations of canned goods to help the needy will be accepted at the door.

Finally, FSU has teamed up with "Lids" hat stores across West Michigan for a special promotion. Anyone purchasing a Ferris State product at selected "Lids" stores located in shopping malls across the area will receive two free tickets while supplies last for one of four selected Saturday home doubleheaders later this year against Ashland (Jan. 17), Northwood (Jan. 24), Northern Michigan (Feb. 14) or Lake Superior State (Feb. 21).

For more information, please contact the FSU Athletics Department at (231) 591-2860. Tickets for all home basketball contests are available at the door starting one hour prior to tipoff.
