Ferris Shoots A Pair of 292 Rounds; Radley Places Third Individually

FSU senior golfer Derek Radley shot a one-under-par 141 score at the Bay Valley Intercollegiate Tourney to finish in third place.
The Ferris State University men's golf team compiled a 16-over-par 584 team score at the 36-hole Bay Valley Intercollegiate Tournament (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) to achieve second-place honors on the par 71, 6,661-yard Bay Valley Golf Club course in Bay City, Mich.

The Bulldogs shot a 292 score in both rounds and finished 11 strokes in back of first place and tourney host Saginaw Valley State (573, +5). Wayne State was third at 585 (+17), Northwood had a 588 score (+20) and Grand Valley claimed fifth place at 590 (+22) in the seven-team tournament.

Senior Derek Radley turned in the best effort for Ferris with a third-place one-under-par 141 (68-73=141, -1). Senior Jeff Carlson fired a 144 (73-71=144, +2) to tie for seventh while freshman Kurt Valley (74-76=150, +8) and senior Brody Moreland (77-73=150, +8) each tied for 26th place.

Rounding out the scoring for the Bulldogs was senior Kyle Mason, who registered a 152-stroke total (77-75=152, +10) to tie for 36th place.

Sophomore Eric Dovre was the highest finish among non-scoring FSU individuals with a a fifth-place tying 143 score (72-71=143, +1).
