Senior forward Heather O'Keefe (Ada/Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central) is three points away from registering her 50th career point. Junior defender Julia Zilan (Wixom/Walled Lake Western) tallied her first collegiate goal at Ferris State last Sunday (9/9) in the Bulldogs' 4-2 non-conference home loss to Indianapolis. Zilan scored on an unassisted header in the 21st minute. Zilan earned all-region honors last season while playing at Schoolcraft (Mich.) Community College.

Ten of Ferris State's 16 goals in its six matches this season have occurred in the second period. A season ago in 18 matches, the Bulldogs totaled 30 second-period goals.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kari Alsager (Mount Pleasant) posted a career-high tying six saves in Sunday's (9/9) non-conference contest against Indianapolis. She also made six stops earlier this season (8/31) in a non-league match versus Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.
