Senior forward Heather O'Keefe (Ada/Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central) began this season with a four-match scoring streak which ended in Monday's (9/3) non-conference home match loss to 14th-nationally ranked Quincy (Ill.). O'Keefe registered a combined 12 points (5-2=12) in the Bulldogs' initial four matches this fall. O'Keefe, who has compiled 45 career points (17-11=45) in 41 matches, is five points away from attaining her 50th career point.

The Bulldogs' top two leading scorers this season, senior midfielder Kristie Smilanich (Kalamazoo/Christian) and Heather O'Keefe have accounted for 71.4% (30-42) of the team's points production and 85.7% (12-14) of the squad's goal-scoring output.

Junior forward Tammy Unsworth (White Lake/Walled Lake Northern) needs two more points to reach the 50th career point mark. Unsworth accounted for the Bulldogs' lone goal in Monday's (9/3) 5-1 loss to nationally-ranked Quincy (Ill.) and presently has 48 career points (18-12=48) in 41 matches. She's also two goals shy of tying Jen Gaylor (2001-05; 20 goals) for fifth-place among Ferris' career goal-scoring leaders.

Kristie Smilanich has compiled 18 points (7-4=18) in her first five matches this season after accumulating a combined 13 points (6-1=13) in her initial five contests a season ago. The 2006 Daktronics All-America First-Team selection currently is second on FSU's all-time points per game leaders chart with a 1.44 points career average in 59 matches.
