Sophomore goalkeeper Becci Houdek (Canton) posted a season-high 15 saves against Grand Valley State Sunday (9/14) to eclipse her five stops versus Southern Indiana (8/29) at the Grand Valley State Tournament in Allendale, Mich. Houdek, who competing in her first season with the FSU women's soccer team, is also a member of the Bulldog women's basketball team.

Becci Houdek's 15 saves versus Grand Valley State Sunday (9/14) represents the third highest single-match save total in FSU women's soccer history, bettering the 14 stops set by Alana Dombrowski on two occasions - vs. Spring Arbor (9/19/02) and against St. Joseph's, Ind. (10/9/02).

The Bulldogs are 5-3-1 (.611) all-time in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opening matches dating back to the 1999 season. FSU sports a 4-2 (.667) mark in its last six conference openers after suffering a 3-0 conference loss to nationally number-one ranked Grand Valley State Sunday (9/14) at Big Rapids. Ferris State is 2-1 at home and 3-2-1 on the road in GLIAC opening contests to date.
