Ferris State has allowed nine goals in its first six matches this season to date after giving up 26 markers to the opposition following the 2007 campaign's initial six contests.

Junior forward Megan McCabe (Brighton/Pinckney) netted her second game-winning goal of this season with a first-half tally at Northern Michigan (9/21). McCabe also accounted for the game winner in the Bulldogs' 1-0 season-opening victory over Southern Indiana (8/29) at the Grand Valley State Tournament in Allendale, Mich.

The Bulldogs' 1-0 victory at Northern Michigan (9/21) snapped a three-match losing skid to the Wildcats. Prior to Sunday's triumph, the last time Ferris State bested NMU was in the 2004 season (10/10) when the Bulldogs claimed a 2-1 home conference win in Big Rapids.

Ferris State posted a season-high 16 total shots against Ashland last Friday (9/19) to better the Bulldogs' previous high of 10 in their season opener versus Southern Indiana (8/29).

Sophomore goalkeeper Becci Houdek (Canton) is presently tied with Laura Myszka (2001-02) for sixth place on FSU's all-time saves leaders list. Both have accumulated 42 career saves to date.

Senior defender Julia Zilan (Wixom) has compiled a pair of assists in six matches this fall, which represent the first of her career. Zilan assisted on FSU's game-winning goal in a 2-1 decision over Ashland (9/19). She produced four points (2-0=4) in 19 outings a season ago.

Freshman defender Mekyla Spraggins (Grand Rapids/Forest Hills Central) picked up her first collegiate point with an assist on Ferris State's lone goal in the 1-0 league victory at Northern Michigan (9/21).
