Bulldogs & Dragons To Square Off This Sunday In Ohio

The Ferris State University softball team's non-league doubleheader at Tiffin (Ohio) has been rescheduled for this Sunday (April 20) afternoon in Tiffin, Ohio, according to an announcement made by FSU head coach Keri Becker.

FSU Softball The Bulldogs and Dragons will square off with the first game starting at 12 p.m. (EDT) and the second contest to follow. The doubleheader was originally scheduled to be played last Friday (April 11) in Ohio, but was called off due to the weather.

Prior to Sunday's tilt at Tiffin, the Bulldogs have a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) twinbills at the FSU Varsity Softball Field in Big Rapids, Mich.

The Bulldogs first host archrival Grand Valley State this afternoon (April 16) for two league games starting at 3:30 p.m. (EDT). Wednesday's tilt versus Grand Valley State represents FSU's K-12 Student Day promotion. The first 25 students in grades K-12 will receive free tshirts along with the first 25 FSU students who present a valid Bulldog identification card. In addition, all kids in attendance will have an opportunity to run the bases after the game and also participate in pitching and batting skills competitions within the batting cages at the FSU complex.

FSU will then face Lake Superior State in league action on Saturday (April 19) starting at 1 p.m. (EDT) in Big Rapids. The doubleheader against LSSU was originally slated to be played on the Lakers' home field in Sault Ste. Marie, but was moved to Big Rapids earlier this week due to field conditions from recent weather activity.

Admission to both of this week's home doubleheaders is free and parking is available near the facility.

Ferris State, which has won 13 of its last 16 outings to date this campaign, currently holds a 18-11 overall record and is 9-3 in GLIAC action this campaign heading into this afternoon's rivalry matchup with Grand Valley State.
