Bulldogs & Wayne State Won't Make Up Wednesday's Non-League Tilt

The Ferris State University softball team's scheduled non-conference home doubleheader for this Wednesday (April 9) afternoon against the Wayne State Warriors has been cancelled due to wet fields from an overnight storm. The announcement was made by FSU head coach Keri Becker.

The non-conference doubleheader won't be rescheduled. However, the two teams are slated to meet later in the year in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action on April 25 at the FSU Softball Field.

With the cancellation, the Bulldogs are next scheduled to travel to Ohio this weekend (April 11-13) for six contests. Ferris takes on the Tiffin University Dragons this Friday (April 11) in a non-league twinbill at Tiffin, Ohio, with game one starting at 4 p.m. (EDT). The Bulldogs then resume conference play on Saturday (April 12) going up against the Findlay Oilers in Findlay, Ohio. Game one is slated to commence at 1 p.m. (EDT).

FSU wraps up the week's play this Sunday (April 13) facing the Ashland University Eagles in its second straight GLIAC doubleheader at Ashland, Ohio. The opening tilt is slated to get underway at 1 p.m. (EDT).

The Bulldogs are currently 16-9 overall and is 7-1 in the GLIAC. FSU has won 11 of its last 12 outings to date this campaign.
