Crowl compiled a 10-9 record in 19 appearances on the mound to go with a 2.06 ERA and 137 strikeouts in 127 innings. A 2000 honorable mention All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection, she batted .286 in 47 games with 40 hits in 140 at bats and recorded six multi-hit games. She tied for the team lead with 29 RBI and scored 26 runs with 10 doubles, two home runs, a .400 slugging percentage and a .355 on-base percentage.
Senior infielder Anne Bentley was selected as a third team NCAA Division II All-American by Louisville Slugger and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. She hit .302 with five home runs, 25 RBI, a .506 slugging percentage and a .947 fielding average. She is only the third player in Ferris softball history to win All-America accolades, joining Jody Gifford (1997/1999) and Pat Silye (1982).
Bentely and senior outfielder Jaymee Kent, were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's All-Great Lakes Region Team with Bentley garnering first-team honors and Kent attaining second-team status.
Freshman shortstop Jessica Baars received FSU "Rookie-of-the-Year" honors after posting a .907 fielding percentage in 25 games. The "Most Improved Player" award was presented to junior outfielder Melissa Carrick as a result of her .979 fielding percentage with 43 putouts, three assists and one error in 45 games.
Junior catcher Anne Koltvedt was the recipient of the "Diamond Dawg" for hustle and effort. Koltvedt, who played in all 51 games this season, batted .224 with 34 hits in 152 at bats while notching five multi-hit games. She totaled six doubles, two triples, nine RBI and 20 runs while recording a .985 fielding percentage with 294 putouts, 40 assists and five errors.
Ferris State concluded this season at 33-18 overall under fourth-year head coach Keri Becker and won the overall GLIAC championship for the first time since 1982. Six seniors will graduate from this season's team - infielder Anne Bentley, outfielder Jaymee Kent, pitcher Brandy Coe, third baseman Cathy Boichot, outfielder Kris St. Andre and pitcher-first baseman Nadine Crowl.
Anne Koltvedt and Melissa Carrick will serve as team captains for the 2001 season.
